| 4. Whistler / Blackcomb / Fraser Valley This tour will involve driving to stops of interest and short walks from roadside into forest stands. Robust walking shoes or light boots would be adequate. If weather permits we will take a ski chair lift up Whistler Mountain. Involvement in this activity would require the ability to get on and off the chair lift. We plan to walk down from the chair lift some distance to view the subalpine forest stands. This would be along graded ski run slopes. |
| 5. Malcolm Knapp Research Forest There will only be walking for short distances on good trails. Rated very easy. |
| 6. North Shore Vancouver / Seymour / Cypress Most trails in good condition though some moderate elevation gain. There may be some optional off-trail hiking to access field study sites. Rated moderate. Sturdy footwear required. |
| 7. Stanley Park (Vancouver) There will only be walking for short distances on good trails. Rated very easy. |
